One of Sol Joel’s team of horses in South Africa is Debutante, by Greatorex (son of Carbine) from the New Zealand-bred mare San Patricia, by Hotchkiss from St. Evelyn. San Patricia raced in New Zealand for the late Mr. G. G. Stead, and bred Princess Pat, the Oaks winner of 1915 in Johannesburg.
