N. L. Price’s mare Kola Nut has foa’ed twin colt foals to Harold Dillon, and S. Humphreys’ Pansy a filly to the same sire- * * * * The New Zealand Trotting Cup favourite, Cathedral Chimes, was a starter in the High-class Handicap (harness), decided over one mile and a furlong, at the Christchurch Patriotic trotting meeting. Cathedral Chimes (J. Bryce) broke at the start. John Dillon (B. Jarden) led all the way, and won by four lengths, Cathedral Chimes finishing fast and beating Admiral Wood by a length.
