THE “VICTORY” MILKING MACHINE.
A SPLENDID PROPOSITION
One of the finest propositions in milking machines on the market is that of the “Victory.” In a conversation with a representative of the “Review,” one of the principals of the Dominion Hardware Co., Ltd., 29 Albert Street, Auckland, stated that the results of the “Victory” milking machine exceeded all expectations. A sheaf of unsolicited testimonials was shown to our reporter, emanating from farmers who wrote from personal experience, stating that they were more than satisfied with the results obtained from the installation of the “Victory” machine. One farmer writing says: “Having used the ‘Victory’ milking machine during the past season it has proved quite satisfactory in every way, the upkeep being practically nil. The cows much prefer it to hand-milking and stand perfectly quiet and contented, and give their milk readily. I may add that I have studied other makes, and I cannot see any so simple and easy to clean, especially with regard to your releaser.” From a point of utility and (Simplicity the “Victory” undoubtedly stands alone, and is said by leading experts to be the finest machine on the market. The releaser is remarkably simple and efficient; the two valve chambers are in one casting, and simply lift off the cradles with the fingers. There is nothing inside the chambers or receivers—it is all on the outside and in two parts only. The unique claw possesses the advantage of being able to shut off one or more cups as desired in the event of a threerteated cow. The teat cups are telescopic, thus enabling the inflation to be kept at tension and facilitating the flow of milk, and the pulsator is simply perfect and works in conjunction with the releaser. Every part of the “Victory” is readily accessible and easy to clean. The machine is on exhibition at the Cambridge show this week, and should be of great interest to farmers.
