SUMMER MEETING. The Canterbury- Jockey Club’s summer meeting was held on Saturday in fine but windy weather. There was an average attendance of the public. The totalisator handled £14,811, as against £14,571 last year. The results were: — TRIAL HANDICAP. Seven furlongs. I—Glendower,1 —Glendower, 8.2 (J. Won easily by four lengths, with two lengths between second and third. Time, lmin 28 2-ssec. HORNBY WELTER HANDICAP. One mile. 1 — Majestikoff, 8.0 (S. Wall) 1 2 — Redowa, 8.4 2 4— Achilledes. 8.3 3 Also started: 3 King Star, 6 Jeannot, 5 San Sebastian. Won easily by a length, two lengths between second and third. Time, lmin 41 2-ssec.
