TURF RESULTS.

KUBOW JOCKEY CLVB. ANNUAL MEETING. The Kurow Jockey Club held their annual meeting on the Oamaru racecourse on Thursday in fine weather, a large attendance being in evidence. The racing throughout was characterised by close and exciting finishes, despite the fact that the course was somewhat on the heavy side. The totalisator investments amounted to £12,165, as against £9584 for the corresponding meeting last year, an increase of £2581. The results were:— WAITANGI HURDLES of 120sovs. One mile and three-quarters. 3— W. Ashmead’s Jeannot, 10.5 (F. Ellis) 1 2 —R. C. Gillies’ San Sebastian, 11.11 (J. Kaan) 2 1— W. H. L. Gray (the rider of Bell Rock) was cautioned for interfering with Matty and Kilrush. This was held to be the cause of some bumping, which nearly brought Rosevear down.
