MRS. ARTHUR GILLIES, of Auckland, and her pet dog “Yen.” Mrs. Gillies, who is prominent in patriotic activities, recently gave her valuable property at Rotorua known as “Kawaka Point” to the Government as a home for disabled soldiers, her generous offer being gratefully accepted. The property is situated on Lake Rotorua, and consists of a fifteen-roomed house and a lovely garden in spacious grounds—a desirable retreat for our convalescent boys.
