The Taranaki Jockey Club’s summer meeting commences on Thursday next. The weights appear to-day and the . acceptances to-morrow. The Auckland horses engaged are Glendalough, Luperino, Ring Lupin, Rockfield, Lady Penury, Housewife, Pendoon, Thrace and Signo. For the Wanganui Jockey Club’s autumn meeting the nominations numerically and in the matter of class are very good. There are twentythree in the Cup and twenty-five in the Flying Handicap and a like number in the Petre Hack Handicap. Auckland horses entered are Rockfield, Tararu Jack, Colonel Soult, Agnestes, Thrace and Housewife.
