GISBORNE RACING CLUB.
The Gisborne Racing Club’s summer meetings are popular with many owners, who make periodical excursions to Poverty Bay to assist thereat. Hawke’s Bay and Auckland owners are amongst the patrons of the Poverty Bay clubs, and they will find the programme to be decided on February Ist and 3rd next as attractive as ever; indeed, the Gisborne Cup is worth -lOOsovs., or, to be correct, 375sovs. in specie and a cup valued at 25sovs., presented by Mr. J. R. Murphy, while the Gisborne R.C. Han-
dicap is fixed at 25050v5., and other events range in value from lOOsovs. to 170sovs , and include the Gisborne Stakes, and two scurry races (one of them at fixed weights), two hurdle races and other events, hack and open, which are calculated to suit, the horses of many owners.
