WOODVILLE DISTRICT JOCKEY CLUB.

SUMMER MEETING. The attention of North Island horse owners is directed to the Woodville District Jockey Club’s spiing meeting, which is set down for decision on Wednesday and Thursday, December 6 and 7. A first-rate programme of events has been drawn up, and signs are not wanting that a good all-round response will be forthcoming when nominations fall due on November 17. The Woodville Handicap, of 25050v5., 114 miles, to be run on the first day, and the Gothard Memorial Handicap (second day), of 200sovs., one mile and a distance, will both appeal strongly to owners of handicap horses, while the minor events, which offer splendid inducements to the lesser lights, include a hurdle race on each day. Altogether the programme is one of special interest to owners and trainers, who will find much to engage their attention on looking through the list of events.
