Coleraine went a furlong further in lmin 21 l-ssec, beating Erroneous. Toka Toka jumped the small hurdles alone. Delemar led Dancastor over six of the schooling hurdles in good style. Ulster was finishing sounder than Brookfield in a schooling match. Both horses are well. Marconi, Ngatimaru and Lochlantis came home in this order after the latter had made all the running over the battens. The morning’s schooling work was concluded with Gluepot, Warhead, Master Drury, Jacaranda and Kaiwhakahaere stepping out to go over the hill. Starting at the sod wall they took the water jump, stone wall and old water jump. The first fence on the hill proved fatal to Jacaranda’s chance and he lost his rider, and the first fence of the double brought Kaiwhakahaere to earth. The other three finished as above. The long named one was remounted and jumped the double and stone wall.
