SPRING WEATHER COUGHS.

MAKE THIS REMEDY AT HOME. Sudden weather changes bring bad coughs and colds, inflamed throats, quinsy, and weakened lungs result if prompt and proper attention is neglected. Mrs. M. J. Bennett, of Nelson’s Bay, Port Stephens, makes a large bottle of cough, cold and sore throat remedy by using Hean’s Essence prescription, and uses it promptly whenever required. She says: “Please send me two more bottles of Hean’s Essence. The other bottle arrived safely. I made it up by following your easy directions, and it has proven a wonderful medicine and excellent cure.” Mrs. Bennett’s experience is repeated by all who try Hean’s Essence recipe. Get a bottle from your chemist or grocer to-day, mix it with water and sweetening, place in a large bottle, and thus be prepared for any sudden weather change that comes along. This recipe saves you at least 10s., and provides a better remedy for coughs, colds and sore throats than you can buy ready mixed.

Hean’s Essence is sold by most chemists and storekeepers in bottles, 2s. each, or post free promptly on receipt of price from G. W. Hean, Family Chemist, Wanganui. 56

Writing under date London, June 15th, Mr. Harry J. Cohen forwards some chatty notes about the principal theatrical attractions in the Big Smoke. “I put in a couple of weeks in Sydney before sailing by the P. and O. steamer Malwa on March 15th. Had a great voyage home, and saw about all there was to be seen in Colombo, Bombay, Aden, Suez, Port Said, and Marseilles. At the latter port I left the boat and journeyed overland through France in order to put in a week in Paris. While there I saw all the shows that I possibly could. The Folies Bergeres and the grand opera at the wonderfully magnificent Opera House were the two best shows there. I arrived in London on May Ist, and immediately looked up Mr. McLeod, who managed Maud Allan’s Australasian tour. I was appointed secretary and treasurer for Daniel Mayer and

Co., Ltd., concert directors. The best musical comedy in London at time of writing is ‘To-night’s the Night,’ at the Gaiety; the best revue, ‘The Bing Boys are Here,’ at the Alhambra; the best drama, ‘Fishpingle,’ at the Haymarket; the best comedy, ‘A Little Bit of Fluff,’ at the Criterion. ‘Fishpingle’ is by H. A. Vachell, and is a wonderful show with a magnificent cast, whilst ‘A Little Bit of Fluff’ is a scream from start to finish. All the shows are doing remarkably well, and it surprised me when I first went to see packed houses everywhere, considering the times and circumstances.” * * * * The New York “Dramatic News” records the fact that “after a whole year’s run in New York, Fred Niblo wound up his season of ‘Hit-the-Trail Holliday’ and will rest until his company goes to Boston in the fall.”
