ACCEPTANCES.
GISBORNE RACING CLUB. STEEPLECHASE MEETING. The Gisborne Racing Club's steeplechase meeting will be opened to-day (Thursday) and will be concluded on Saturday. Excellent acceptances have been received for the different events, and some keen racing is promised. Auckland-owned and trained horses are freely engaged at the meeting, and the results will be awaited with considerable interest. The following are the acceptances for the opening day’s racing:—
PARK HURDLES HANDICAP, two miles.—Spalperion 11.1, Crispeen 10.9, Marconi 10.9, Bravest 10.1, Jem 9.9, Gazette 9.4, Master Timi 9.2, Bodenham 9.2.
MAIDEN HACK RACE, four furlongs (weight 9.0). —Boggits, Anxious, Gazique. Serbia, Gamesome, John Bull, Nordica, Sabrenui. Cymir, Darnley, Cardrona, Pablo, Bonitas, Kidderminster, Queen’s Maid, Pearl Marie, War Tax, Bay Ethel, Master Roger, Marenga, Brodie, Vascovia.
FLYING HANDICAP, six furlongs.— Multifual 10.7, Zeus 10.5, Carlysian 9.9. Waiorewa 9 6. Worcester 9.3, King o: Athol 9.0, Lord Ainslie 9.0. GISBORNE STEEPLECHASE, three miles.—Eraeburn 11.3, Spalperion 11.3, Fagot 10.8, Lady' Bibbero 9.10, Kurapotangi 9.7.
HACK FLAT HANDICAP, seven furlongs.—Goldenlyte 10.10, Con 9.11, Penroe 9.10, Otara 9.10, Colonnade 9.7. Lord Ainslie 9.3, Parsimony 9.2, Admiral Beatty 9.2, Grand Idea 9.2, Carburetter 9.0. Brunswick 9.0, Natalite 9.0, Uawa 9.0.
