MACMILLAN’S LEATHER PRESERVATIVE.

SOME PRACTICAL RESULTS. The indispensable value of the above-named article is known to all who have had a practical demonstration oi its many uncoubteu qualities, proof of which are forthcoming in the large number of testimonials which have been received from different sources. That the New Zealand military authorities are alive to the advantages of using Macmillan’s Leather Preservative is evidenced by the fact that no less than 150,000 tins have been supp’ied by this firm, and 50,000 pairs of leather bootlaces have been forwarded to the front by the various patriotic societies. The value of this magnificent dressing can be gauged when it is said that leather tested by the Imperial authorities after having been impregnated with Macmillan’s Leather Preservative was far ahead of any other, and resulted in large orders being placed with Mr. W. Macmillan. The proprietor claims that leather treated with Macmillan’s Preservative makes the leather more durable and lasting, and is not so easily affected by the weather. Leather leg ropes, as supplied by this firm, are unbreakable, sanitary, and much cheaper than the cld rope leg ropes. The milking shed at the Government Experimental Farm at Levin has every bail (50) fitted up with Macmillan’s patent leather leg ropes. This should be of great interest to our farmer subscribers, and il they are unable to procure them from any dealer an order, together with postal note, should be sent to the proprietor, who undertakes to pay postage on all orders of 2s. 6d. and upwards. We draw attention to the firm’s advertisement, which appears in this issue.
