ROUND THE PICTURE SHOWS.

EVERYBODY’S PICTURES. The pictures showing this week are exceedingly good and interesting, and the management have wisely presented a very instruct've and entertaining holiday programme at this delightfully cool and comfortable picture theatre. The star picture showing is entitled “Hilda of the Slums,” produced by the V tagraph Company of America, whose productions need no commendation. This touching and pathetic story deals with the exciting

adventures of a dancing girl in a cabaret, and is full of humour, pathos and adventure.. The scenic study of “Waters in the North County” is beautifully coloured and very attractive. Views are shown of special interest, g ving glimpses of Salonika, where the Allies have recently landed troops. The Bathe war special is a fine illustrated number, including views of the destroyed town of Mont Eloy, taken from a French war plane. The comedy pictures are well sustained, and the programme in its entriety is magnificent. Patrons of this picture theatre can be assured of comfort, coolness, and courtesy, combned with a very pleasing entertainment. KING’S THEATRE. On Monday next the management of this popular picture theatre are presenting a programme of special interest, the leading feature of which will be “Love’s Way,”- by. the Vitagraph Picture Company, of America. This

is a story of a ne’er-do-well who does nothing but spend his money and waste his time. His father eventually cuts him off, and the incidents following show how the influences of a good woman exercise a chastening effect upon his life, and the whole story, I nked up with many thrilling scenes, tends to make a very interesting picture. The Pathe Gazette will be of a peculiarly interesting nature and full of topical events. The “Million Dollar Mystery” is further enacted by an additional episode entitled “Trapped by the Flames.” Two very intreesting comedies, entitled “The Honeymoon Pact” and “Never Again,” form one of the most interesting programmes ever presented by the management of the King’s Theatre.
