Riddiford. two-year-old filly by All Red— Ancilla, for 25 gu’neas; Mr. Whitney, yearling brown filly by All Red—Northern Rose, for 26 guineas. A brown filly by Treadmill—Fire Queen was offered on account of Mr. J. F. Buchanan in aid of the Peninsula appeal for the No. 2 Soldiers’ Queen. It was purchased by Mr. G. D. Greenwood for 100 guineas, who handed it back, and it was resold to Mr. J. Ames, of Wellington, for 90 guineas, realising altogther 190 guineas. A bay colt by Cakewalk—Wendoline was offered on account of Mr. J. B. Reid in aid of the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, and was purchased by Mr. A. Boyle for 20 guineas.
