VICTORY FOR THE FAVOURITE. The Government having prohibited racing outside of Newmarket, the Derby, which had been run continuously at Epsom for 134 years, was this year decided at “headquarters.” The race took place on the 15th inst. Result:— THE DERBY STAKES of 6500sovs, by subscription of 50sovs each. For entire colts and fillies foaled in 1912. Colts, 9.0; fillies, 8.9. The nominator of the winner to receive 500 sovs out of the stake, the owner of the second 400sovs, and the owner of the third 200sovs. One mile and a-half.
