AUTUMN MEETING. LADOGA WINS THOMPSON HANDICAP. The Wellington Racing Club were favoured with fine though dull weather for the opening day of their autumn gathering on Wednesday, and the attendance was large. The sum of £28,589 was put through the machine, against £27,782 10s. for the corresponding day last year. The results were:— FIRST HACK AND HUNTERS’ S'IEEPLECHASE of 200sovs. For hacks and qualified hunters. Two miles and a-half. 3—N. D. The sum of £44,420 10s was passed through the machine, as against £30,454 for the corresponding day of last year making a total for the meeting cf £73,009 10s., as compared with £58,236 10s. for the 1914 autumn gathering.
