AUSTRALIAN JOCKEY CLUB.
The liberally-endowed programme for the Australian J.C. amumn meeting, on April 3,5, 7, and 10, contains 24 events of the record sum of 32,450 sovs. added money. Nominations have already closed for the Sires’ Produce Stakes, Doncaster Handicap, St. Legei Stakes, Champagne Stakes, and Sydney Cup, the added money of which aggregates 13,000sovs„ leaving 19,150 sovs. for distribution over the remaining 19 events, the best endowed of which are the w.f.a. races —the
Autumn Stakes of 2000sovs., All-aged Stakes of 250050v5., Cumberland Stakes of 2000sovs., and A.J.C. Plate of 2000sovs. There are five races, each carrying 75050v5., two carrying 600sovs. each, and eight carrying the minimum sum of 500sovs. each. Owners have thus as good a chance as ever of winning good stakes.
