WELLINGTON RACING CLUB’S WINTER MEETING. FIRST DAY, The winter meeting of the Wellington Racing Club opened at Trentham on Wednesday, and there was a very large attendance of the public. Speculation on the totalisator was very brisk, the sum of £25,577% going through the machine, compared with £12,883 for the corresponding day last year. This gives an increase of £12,694.
