SECONDARY SCHOOLS’ CHAMPIONSHIP.

The match between King’s College and Grammar School on Saturday was played as a “curtain raiser” to the Marist Bros.-Grafton game, and caused the greatest excitement among supporters of the rival colleges. The King’s Co lege Old Boys rolled out in strong force to Alexandra Park, and the maroon and gold co'ours were displayed in the most patriotic manner. The blue and gold of the Grammar School was also strongly in evidence, and the wearers of these colours had the satisfaction of seeing their Rugby champions triumph over the King’s College boys to the tune of 14 points to 3. Grammar School’s victory was quite expected, and they have now won the 1911 Secondary Schools Championship. For Grammar School Cooner, Senior and Sellars, scored tries, one of which was converted by Marks, who a'so kicked a penalty goa'. Hodgson scored King’s only points, with a penalty goal.
