POVERTY BAY TURF CLUB'S MEETING.

FIRST DAY. The annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Turf Club commenced on Thursday in fine, but dull, weather. The sum of £7117 was put through the totalisator, as against £5BOO on the first day of last year.
