NATURAE'S TEACHING.
“There is much moral teaching in Nature,” remarked an inveterate moraliser, who was noted for his prolixity. “We ought never to forget there is a sermon in every blade of grass.” “Quite true,” admitted an acquaintance who had been much bored by the moraliser’s persistent and inopportune lecturing; “and we ought also to remember that grass is, at certain seasons, cut very short!”
