Mr. Jones, who is a man of few words, went into a music-store to buy some music for his wife. “Mikado libretto,” he said to the clerk.
The clerk started. ‘‘What’s that?” he asked.
“Mikado libretto,” said Jones again. “Me no spik de Italian,” said the clerk.
