That Red McGregor should have won the Winter Steeplechase after Le Beau had fallen is a popular opinion with those who saw the race- Windsor kept the horse too far back, and then tried to come up on the inside of Lock Fyne, but Speakman was wide awake and as the saying is “showed Windsor a point.”
