AUSTRALIAN JOCKEY CETTE’S AUTUMN MEETING.

FIRST DAY. BOBRIKOFF WINS THE AUTUMN STAKES. The Australian Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was opened at Randwick on Saturday in fine weather, and there was a splendid attendance. The victory of the New Zealand horse Bobrikoff was received with great enthusiasm. The following are the details of the racing:— THE! FIRST HURDLE' RACE, a handicap sweepstakes of 6sovs each, with SOOsovs added. About two miles. Mr. T. C. Trautwein’s b g Treat, aged, by Merv—Violetta, 10.4 1 Mr. J. H. From a great start Maltine was first away, but once fairly going Hoax took command, Bobrikoff lying third. Hoax led along the back and round the turn.

BobrikofE, on the inside, dashed to the front at the distance, and the brilliant New Zealand gelding, fighting out a fine race with Maltine and Trafalgar, drew away, and won nicely by three-quarters of a length from Maltine, who was half a length in advance of Trafalgar. THE A.J.C. SIRES’ PRODUCE STAKES, a sweepstakes of lOsovs each, added to a lOsovs subscription by owners of certain sires, and lOOOsovs from the A.J.C. Club. The owner of the sire of the winner to receive lOOsovs, the owner of the second horse 200sovs, and the owner of the third lOOsovs from the stake. THE DONCASTER HANDICAP, a handicap sweepstakes of 20sovs each, with 1500sovs added. For all horses. The owner of the second horse to receive 300sovs, and the owner of the third 150 sovs from the prize. One mile. Mr. E. E. A.
