IRANUI WINS THE WAIPIPI CUP. The Masterton Racing’ Club’s meeting opened on Thursday before a large attendance. The weather was fine at the commencement, but rain fell before the last race. The rain that fell the previous evening had the effect of freshening the tracks and grounds considerably, with the result that the climatic conditions were perfect. There was only a moderate attendance. Several of the events were fought out to a bitter finish, testifying that Mi*. Pollock had spared no pains in framing his adjustments.
