WHATAWHATA RACES.
The Whatawhata races were held on Saturday. There was a good attendance, and the meeting was most successful. The results of the various races were as follows:— HURDLES. —Calm 1, Toilette 2. Cudweed ran off at one of the hurdles. The rider (Reid) was suspended for the day for not pulling up when ordered. MAIDEN HANDICAP.—Romantic 1, Westward Ho 2, Weka 3. WHATAWHATA HANDlCAP.—Noteorini 1, Yolette 2. SHORTS HANDICAP. — Wontino 1, Lizzie 2, Lady Wench 3. HACK RACE.—Kaimate 1, Punawai 2, Leonite 3. WELTER HANDICAP. — Livonia 1, Alarm 2, Cudweed 3. Trot HANDICAP.—Raxter 1, Verbeen 2, Ohaupo 3. FLYING STAKES.—Romantic 1, Kamate 2, Noteorini 3.
