BOWLING.

A match unique in the history of Au-tralia i bows is on the point of being arranged to take place on the, City Green. Sydney. Parramatta and Strathfield clubs include among their members some of the oldest bowlers in Australia, and each will put a rink on the green the aggregate ages of the members of which are 312 and 328.

The Victorian Bowling Association is indeed a flourishing concern; it has no less than fifty clubs under its wing. No other State in the Commonwealth can boast such a powerful (numerically) combination.

Here is something extraordinary that may go looking for a parallel till, possibly, the end of t'me, says the “ Referee.” Messrs- Morrison and Hurley met Messrs. Forsyth and Tully in the Queensland Association’s pairs a day or two ago—playing 21 up. With the scores 20 to 10 against them. Morrison and Hurley scored eight in the third head, wh'ch so completely flattened out t’other couple that winning the game was I ke falling off a log. Eight in one head of a pair match surely deserves special recognition by the Q.B.A.
