FIRST DAY. The Canterbury Jockey Club’s Summer Meeting commenced on Thursday in beautiful weather, with the course in capital order. The totalisator investments amounted to £4781, in addition to which bookmakers’ fees realised £225, The results were:— TRIAL STAKES of 100 sovs. One mile. Mr. C.
