A TIE IN AN. OCEAN RACE.

The Ponsonby Cruising Club held an ocean race on Saturday afternoon. The course was from off St. Mary’s Beach, round Tiritiri, thence round Gannet Rock, finishing in Matiatia. The entries and handicaps were: Ronaki, scratch; Alva, 10m; Maru, 30m; Glady, 32m; Ranee, 40m;’ Rhona, 75m; Waratah, 105 m. The Maru and Ranee did not start. The finishing times were: Ronaki, lOh 22m; Alva, lOh 41m 30s; Glady, 10

hr 5 4m. The other boats did not finish. On corrected time the Ronaki and Glady tie for first place, with the Alva third.
