HAWKE’S BAY JOCKEY CLUB’S SPRING MEETING. FIRST DAY. The Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s spring meeting commenced on Wednesday in showery weather. The course was soft, but in good order. The totalisator handled £6399, as against £8748 on the' corresponding day last year, and 16 bookmakers were licensed.
