THE AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP.
This event is to start on Monday, September 14 next, entries closing on Saturday next. The Victorian Amateur Billiard Association have nominated A. H. Tricks as their representative, while J. B. Belfield will represent New South Wales. Invitations have been sent by Mr. J. E. Barlow (hon. secretary, Australian Buildings, Melbourne) to the amateur bodies in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Launceston, Hobart, Dunedin, Wellington, Christchurch, and Auckland; but it is unlikely that there will be any competitors outside Messrs. Belfield and Tricks, in which event the game will be 3000 up in five sessions over three days. .
