THE ANGLO-WELSH TEAM CONCLUDE THEIR TOUR.

The Anglo-Welsh team brought their tour of the colonies to a close on Saturday with a match against Queensland, and it proved hard and fast. Queensland showed good form, and the first spell ended three all, Gibbs and Gallacher scoring for the visitors and locals respectively. The second spell was very rough, and McEvedy (the British skipper) had his collarbone broken. It was opened by Queensland with a brilliant attack on Britain’s goal, which ended in Maher scoring, the try being converted. Play then became very exciting, and Williams and Gibbs got over the line for the visitors. Dyke converted the latter’s try, and the game ended without further score, Britain thus winning by 11 points to 8.
