GLIDDEN’S TOUR.

Little has been heard of Mr. Chas. Glidden’s motor tour in Palestine, since the announcement by cable that he had entered Jerusalem. He could not land his car at Joppa, as planned, and it had to be taken further north to Haifa, whence he drove through Athlit, Caesarea, and Joppa to Jerusalem, which he entered by the Damascus Gate. From this city he intended to proceed to the Sea of Galilee, returning to Haifa and shipping his car by rail to Damascus, whence he would drive through Balbee to Beyrout. The following countries are also to be visited: —Greece, Montenegro, Dalmatia, and Croatia; thence to Trieste, crossing the Dolomites, and reaching Paris early in May, and London about a fortnight later.
