SOUTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB’S AUTUMN MEETING.

FIRST DAY. The South Auckland Racing Club’s meeting commenced on Friday, when the weather was fine and the track in good order. The attendance was fair for a first day. The Steeplechase, as has been the case at all country meetings, was a chapter of accidents, as all the horses but the winner either fell or baulked. The following were the results: — ■ TRIAL HANDICAP, seven furlongs. Tul 1, Tua Kitua 2, Nulla Nulla 3. Won easily by two lengths. Time, lm. 36 HURDLE HANDICAP, one mile and a-half —Kapakapa 1, Tui 2, Hillflower 3. Won on the post after a great race. TI SOUTH AUCKLAND CUP, one mile nnda-auarter— Lady Hune 1, Syren 2, Certainty 3. Won easily. Time, 2m. 16 FIRST STEEPLECHASE HANDICAP, two miles and a-half. —Pierre i,

Time, lm. 47 4-ss. . « DISTRICT HACK RACE, six furlongs.—Flint Island 1, Fremantle 2, Miss Stella 3. Won easily. FLYING HANDICAP', five furlongs.— Wauchope 1, Miss Crispin 2, Lochbuhie 3. Won all the way. SECOND DAY. On the second day of the South Auckland Racing Club’s meeting the weather was beautiful and the attendance very large. The amount put through the totalisator was £1723 10s, and £l9O was received -from the bookmakers. The following were the results: — COUNTY HANDICAP, seven furlongs. —Powhiri 1, Fremantle 2, Nulla Nulla 3 ’ SHORTS HANDICAP, five furlongs —Miss Crispin 1, Frederick 2, Freebird 3. WAIKATO HANDICAP, one mile.—Lochbuhie 1, Montigo and Certainty (dead heat) 2.
