NOTABILITIES WHO PLAY.
England’s present Premier is a billiard enthusiast. Gladstone did not play billiards, but Lord Rosebery handles a cue with average ski 1. Mr. Balfour plays occasionally, but the best billiard player in Parliament, probably, is Mr. George Wyndham, who plays a very good game indeed. The Prince of Wales is a. very good player, and the duels between him and Prince Arthur of Connaught are usually very keen indeed. In fact, nearly all the members of the Roya Family handle a cue with dexterity, Queen Alexandra playing a very fair game indeed.
