THE AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB.

Particulars of the autumn meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club are announced in this issue. The gathering is fixed for April 4,8, and 11 and for it, as will be seen, a very comprehensive programme has been arranged, all classes being catered for. On the opening day there is the Maiden Trot of 25sovs, one mile and a-half; Trotting Handicap of 30sovs, one mile and a-half; Autumn Handicap of 40 sovs, six and a-half furlongs; Stewards’ Trot of 60sovs, two miles; Middle-class Handicap of 440sovs, one mile and a-half; Cornwall Trot of 40 sovs one mile; Flying Handicap of 30sovs, five furlongs; and Electric Trot of 40sovs, one mile. On the second day the items to be considered are the Novel Trot of 25 sovs, one mile; the Hill Trot of 30 sovs, one mile; Mahukau Trot of 60 sovs, two miles; April Handicap of 40sovs, six and a-half furlongs; Autumn Trot of 40sovs, one mile and ahalf; Shorts Handicap of 30sovs, four and a-half furlongs; and Class Trot of 50sovs, one mile. For the concluding day the programme will consist of the Trial Trot of 25sovs, one mile and a-half; the Campbell Handicap of 60sovs two miles; the Park Handicap of 35sovs, six and adialf furlongs; the Innovation Trot of 40sovs, one mile and ahalf; High-class Trot of 60sovs, one mile; Barn Handicap of 30sovs, five furlongs; Farewell Handicap of 40 sovs, one mile. Entries for all events close with Mr. C. F. Mark, the secretary, on March 20, at 9 p.m.
