BIG TOBACCO DEAL.
By a deal consummated late’y, the Irhper’al Tobacco Company purchased the entire 1907 tobacco crop pledged to American Society of Equity in Henderson, Union, Webster, Hopkins, and Crittenden counties. The deal involves sixteen million pounds of tobacco, and will bring a million and a-half dollars of English money to farmers of this region. The price paid was that demanded by the farmers, and was the highest paid here
since the Civil War. All the Equity factories and employees are taken over by the Imperial Company, and will be continued in service. Deliveries will begin as soon as the tobacco is in order. Gold will be shipped from England at once-
