AUCKLAND RACING CLUB’S SUMMER MEETING.

The Auckland Racng Club were favoured with fine weather on Boxing Day, when the opening day’s racing of the summer meeting was decided. The attendance was a record one, and betting was fairly brisk, the sum of £21,214 being handled at the machines against £26,247 on Cup day last year. The decrease (£5033) is due to the fact that this year the bookmakers were present.
