ROYAL GRAND OPERA.

His Majesty’s Theatre will be tenanted next week and the week following by Musgrove’s Royal Grand Opera Co., when the season of opera will commence with the production of Wagner’s immortal work, “ Lohengrin.” There will be a change of programme every night, “ Carmen” being produced on Tuesday, “ Hansel and Gretel” matinee on Wednesday, “ Tannhauser” on Wednesday night, ‘ Romeo and Juliet” on Thursday, “ The Flying Dutchman” on Friday, and “ Faust” on Saturday. The Royal Grand Opera Co. is one of the most famous and complete organisations of its kind that has ever visited New Zealand, and patrons of grand opera will have their full of the best works of the classic composers. Gounod, Rossini, Wagner, Bizet and Humperdinck are names too famous to be discussed, and the mere fact of the production of Wagner’s operas by so notable a company should prove sufficient to induce overflowing audiences.
