FIRST DAY. The following are the results of the first day of the Egmont Racing Club’s meeting.— FLYING HANDICAP.—Ballarat 1, Kitchenmaid 2, St. Claimer 3. Scratched: Soultmaid, Pylades, King’s Birthday. Time, lmin 16sec. Dividends, £1 12s and £2 15s. MEREMERE HACK HANDICAP.— Engraver 1, Pearlie 2, St. Maria 3. Scratched: Tarina, Bellevue, Moldavia. Time, lmin 3 3-ssec. Dividends, £6 4s and £1 4s. WHAREROA HURDLE RACE.— Aqua Regia 1, Rookby 2, Shrapnel 3. Capulet also started. Time, 3min 21 l-ssec. Dividend, £3 9s. The Egmont Racing Club’s meeting was concluded on Thursday, the results being as follows: — -INAHA HACK FLAT HANDICAP.— Seaman 1, Highden 2. Scratched: Recreation and Linseed. Waitapu, Seaman, and White Lie finished in the order named, but Waitapu and White Lie failed to draw their weights upon returning to the scale and the race was awarded as above. Time, lmin 45% sec.
