TRAINING NOTES.
ELLERSLIE.
TUESDAY. Nearly all the work was on the sand track, and although foggy, a fair amount of work was indulged in before breakfast. Scotty and Master Deiaval were again associated in a circle. The big bay led throughout, but in the last 50 yards the Wanganui Cup candidate was overhauling Scotty. The pair took 1.58 2-ssecs to run round. Omati alone jumped off from the f-mile post and finished strongly in i.iB 2-ssecs. Bonomiana, a Southern competitor, with Rose Lawn to assist, got to the end of 6 furlongs in 1.9 4~ssecs, pulling over her companion, and could have improved the time. Uhlander and Lady Nannie worked quietly together on the new grass track; both look very well. Paraquette, who is booked for engagements at Waiuku, left 5 furlongs behind in 1.6 4-ssecs. Manapuri, a South Auckland candidate, got over the same distance in 1.6 lusecs. Syd. Hodge has this brace looking tip top The Winsome colt, Japan, Pohutu, Uhlander, and the Mantle colt all show improved track form
