With the fine weather on Saturday there was a perfect army of bowlers pursuing their favourite -pastime on the various greens. It is difficult to say just how many bowlers there are in Auckland, but the number must be very large, more, indeed, I should think, than in any other form of sport. « • • • On the Auckland green, in addition to the ordinary games, many matches were played.
