THE AUCKLAND PARK JOCKEY CLUB.
The third meet’ng held by the Auckland Park Jockey Club took place on Saturday in ‘beautiful weather. There was a good attendance at the Otahuhu racecourse, and with the exception of some apparently crooked running in the Flying Handicap, which was promptly dealt with by the stewards, everything passed off without a hitch. Mr. Linden acted as judge, Mr. Brennan as starter, while Mr. C. F. Pratt, the secretary, attended to all the arrangements. The results were as follows: —
MAIDEN HACK HANDICAP of 15 f-ovs. Four furlongs—Tommy, 8.0 (E. Kelly), 1; Intombi, 11.7 (Tate), 2; Blueskin, 10.12 (Jenkins), 3. Betting: Even money Intombi, 2 to 1 Tommy and Blueskin. Won by a neck. PONY HANDICAP of 20sovs. Five furlongs.—Hurihuri, 11.7 (Taylor), 1; Pansy Blossom, 9.0 (Tate), 2; Wai-wai, 11.7 (Neary), 3. Betting: Even money Pansy Blossom, .2 to 1 Wai-wai and Hurihuri. Won by a length. AUCKLAND PARK JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP of 50sovs. Seven furlongs. —Tambourina, by Tambour—Linnet, 11.7 (W. Neary), 1; Intombi, 10.3 (J. Neary), 2; Misere, 9.10 (Tate), 3. Also started: Kereru 9.10, and Blueskin 9.8. Betting: 2 to 1 Tambourina and Kereru, 3 to 1 Intombi and Misere, 10 to 1 Blueskin. Won by a length. TRADESMEN’S HACK HANDICAP .of lOsovs. Six furlongs.—Tommy 8.0 (E. Kelly), 1; Gileadit, 10.5 (Stewart), 2; Countess, 11.10 (W. Sharp), By Also started: Nick Hunt, 8.0. Betting: 2 to 1 on Tommy, 2 to 1 Countess, 3 to 1 Gileadit, and 10 to 1 Nick Hunt. Won by half a length. FLYING HANDICAP of 20sovs. Five furlongs.—Blueskin, 9.6 (Jenkins), 1;
