NEW ZEALAND TROTTING CONFERENCE.

NOTICES OF MOTION. RULES OF TROTTING. By the chairman of the Rules Revision Committee — “ That the draft rules of trotting, as prepared by the committee appointed by the Conference and forwarded to affiliated clubs (after consideration of all suggestions meanwhile received), be now considered by the Conference, with a view to the adoption of such rules as the New Zealand Rules of Trotting.” And, after the consideration of the draft rules has been completed — “ That the rules of trotting now considered amended and approved by the Trotting Conference of New Zealand, come into operation on the Ist day of August, 1906, and from that date shall rescind and be in lieu of the rules of trotting hitherto in force in New Zealand, except as to matters or things done, members and officials of the New Zealand Trotting Association and Trotting Clubs appointed, entries or nominations received, rights and powers acquired, and liabilities, penalties, forfeitures, fines, punishments, and proceedings incurred or instituted thereunder. All matters pending when these rules come into force shall be proceeded with and continued under these rules. All appointments made and programmes issued under the Rules of Trotting hereby rescinded shall be deemed to be made and issued under and subject to these rules.” By the Tahuna Park Trotting Club — Part IV., Rule 26 —Add “no paid official of any club shall be eligible for nomination.” Part VII., Rule 87 (a) —Substitute £125 for £l5O. Part VII., Rule 87 (b) —Substitute £275 for £3OO. Part VII., Rule 87 (c) —Substitute £175 for £2OO. Rule 88 —Substitute word “ net” for “ gross” in second line. Part XII., Rule 125 —Substitute “accepting” for “ nominating” in second line. Part XXI., Rule 197 (a) —Delete the words “ livery stable or.” Part XXX., Rule 263 —Substitute “ ten” for “ five” in ninth line.
