NO EVIDENCE.
At Ashburton last Friday, Messrs Shand and Co., of Christchurch, were charged wth sel’ing liquor, being aware that it was being sent to a nolicense district, and faibng to forward a statement to the authorities, and with failing to attach a statement to the same showing the nature of the contents. Case dismissed, the magistrate holding that there was no evidence to show that the firm knew that the purchaser, who bought the whisky in Christchurch, was go ng to take it into a no-license district.
