BLOODSTOCK SALES

THE WELLINGTON PARK DISPERSAL SALE. The dispersal sale of the famous Wellington Park Stud took place on Saturday last, and it had the effect of attracting buyers from a 1 parts of the colonies. Messrs. Alfred Buckland and Sons conducted the sale, and when Mr. C. G. Brookes mounted the rostrum the attendance was a large and representative one. Among those present at the ringside were S r George Clifford. Hons. G. McLean, H. Hosman, Messrs. J. McDonald, A. Yuile, G. G. Stead, H. Friedlander, J. B. Re< d, J. F. Reid, G. P. Donnelly, P. Campbe 1, Newton King. Dr. Newman, and E. J. Wait, besides most Auckland sportsmen of prominence. The sale itself cannot be deemed a satisfactory one. and many of the lots were quitted at cons'derably under their value, th s being notably the case with the stallions, who might have been expected to fetch double the amounts given.
