ME. J. H. MOORE.

Mr J. H. Moore, proprietor of the Commercial Hotel, Paeroa, whose photo appeared in our last week’s issue, is well known throughout the goldfields towns, as well as in Auckland. He landed in Auckland as a boy 44 years ago, and since then, like most old hands, has had a varied experience. Before taking over the Commercial he was manager of the Paeroa Brewery, while previous co that he ran a large tobacconist and hairdressing establishment in Paeroa. He has always taken a keen interest in sport of every kind, and has .worked hard on the local Racing Club Committee, football, bowling, etc., have also received his support at all times. He has conducted his hotel on sound lines, and probably does as large a bar trade as any hotel in Paeroa.
