WIRTHS’ COMBINED SHOWS.

There will shortly appear in our midst Tom Colquitt, champion jumper of the world, who has been specially engaged by Messrs Wirth Bros. He has never appeared in Australia before, having been specially engaged by the above enterprising firm at an enormous salary. The public have read of his wonderful feats but have never seen more than his portraiture in London magazines, how he has been known to jump over a fourwheeled cab, and over six fences five feet high and twenty feet apart. He is a human kangaroo. Following or coworking with him is Capt. McCloud and wild Friday—two out of six of the Wild West Show recently revived by the Wirths’. The Captain is also thrower and rifle shot of the world. Friday has never been equalled in manipulating the bowie knives. They introduce and subdue, as only Cowboy can, wild horses and cattle furnished by local persons. Jack Kelly, an Australian stockman, will, in conjunction with the Wild West people, demonstrate the different methods adopted by each country. Ohifalo, who has paralyzed the world with his “leaping the chasm ” and “ looping the death trap,” forms a leading feature in the programme. The horses, wild animals, and circus performers are perfect, or they would not be part 6f Wirths’ gigantic organisation, for only the best will appear Emil Payor and Jean Pagrell, Miss Mazuiga, and Marzielles, ,the many acrobats and clowns and horsemen, are each unequalled. A matinee takes place on Wednesday, April 5.
