At a committee meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club held on Friday, Mr A. B. Harris, J.P., was elected chairman of committee for the eneuin? season. On Friday afternoon the Committee of the Auckland Trotting Club marked its appreciation of the services of the secretary, Mr C. F. Mark. It was unanimously decided to present him with a bonus of £2O, and to increase his salary by £2O per annum. No official has ever worked harder in the interests of his Club than Mr Mark has done for the Auckland Club, and therefore the recognition of his efforts is very pleasing. The Masterton Trotting Club holds its Spring Meeting on October 25. The nominations show ten in the Maiden, twelve in the Pony Trot, nineteen in the Masterton Trotting Club Handicap, nine in the Trial Handicap, ten in the Stewards, thirteen in the Second Pony Trot, nineteen in the Borough Handicap, and fifteen in the Electric Handicap. Admirers of the trotting horse will be interested to learn that some fresh stock has recently < been imported into Victoria, viz, the sires Digitalis and Willie Whips and the brood mares Diana and Mary Daly, all from the Bosedale stock farm, California. Willie Whips has gone to Barne wang-park, Elmore, and the' others to The Banch, Glenroy. Digitalis, a handsome stallion, is highly recommended. Daly (2.15),
